Story
The Baricho Cooperative Society operates the Karatina Mill located in Nyeri region of East Kenya, east of the Abardea Range Southwest of Mt. Kenya.
The coffee grows in rich red volcanic loam and humus at about 1,800 meters above sea level. This makes for longer ripening periods and results in rich complexity in the cup. The coffee is considered shade grown, as it is planted in a mixed forest of Graveria and Banana trees.
